U.S. Plans Spring offensive in Afghanistan
The Chicago Tribune reported that an offensive was being planned that would involve thousands of American troops and which would go after refuges in Pakistan used by fugitive Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network.
In other words, go after Osama bin Laden.
Hmm. Now, pardon me for asking, but...
...why the fuck didn't we do that last year? You know... go after the actual guy who was responsible for 9/11?
Oh, right, I remember. We were doing something else.
Plus, last year would have been too early.

Well, we all know that 9/11 wouldn't have happened without Hussein's undying support for al Qaeda. I mean, he did provide the WMDs that they used.
